Applications

Rescue Robot

A rescue robot is a robot that has been designed for the purpose of rescuing people! Our robots can be equipped with many search and rescue camera systems. We have a wide variety of cameras and pan and tilt systems allowing an operator to remotely search for victims remotely through many different style Operator Control Units (OCUs). The following are camera and OCU systems we have deployed:

  • IR LED cameras for total darkness observation.
  • 27X optical zoom cameras with low light vision and high intensity LED lights allowing the robot to see everything.
  • Thermal imaging cameras or Forward Looking Infra-Red (FLIR) camera can also be requested. These can be used for looking for heat signatures of victims and look through smoke, etc.
  • Camera Pan and Tilts to move a camera around and quickly assess a situation.
  • Tilt cameras embedded in the nose of the robot to allow low profile inspection robots.
  • Multiple cameras installed on a robot allowing an operator see the surroundings from every vantage point.
  • We also have camera lifts that can be installed to provide 3D search and rescue.
  • 1-Way audio systems, so you will have have eyes and ears. 2-way audio will allow you to have a voice via the robot's PA to talk with any victims found.
  • Hand-held and enclosed (Pelican style) Case Remotes with monitors, microphones, and speakers providing you complete awareness.
  • Secondary Monitors allowing command outpost stations a set of eyes and ears.
  • Repeaters for our digital radios allowing you to extend the range and get through tough situations like steel or concrete walls and collapsed structures.

HAZMAT

Survey hostile/hazardous situations staying out of harm's way. Use our robots for situations that are too difficult, dangerous, hazardous, lethal, toxic or just too hostile for humans to enter. Our robots can interface directly with MultiRAE HAZMAT sensors and display the information directly on your screen! No need to aim your camera at the sensor! It can also be installed and removed quickly and easily.

Collapsed Structure Search

Fire and Rescue Robots used to inspect collapsed or unstable structures. HAZMAT sensing. Thermal image FLIR cameras search and rescue.

Structural Inspection

Many times when putting a fire out with water, the buildings structural integrity is compromised from the fire or huge amount and weight of water used to subdue the fire. Our UGVs make a great tool to remotely inspect the structure before proceeding into the build and risking lives.

Disaster Recovery

None of us want a disaster, but its foolish not to be prepared for one. Having a UGV in your tool-kit is essential. Use the UGV to search for victims, collapsed structures, crawl spaces, under and over rubble, etc.
