Mini ATR Mechanical Description

| General Description |
 The mini ATR is a smaller version of our ATR that does not have the same clearance or capacity, but performs exceptionally well. The wheel axles are mounted directly to the motor output shafts. The motors allow this robot to over most terrain, yet its size makes it very maneuverable indoors. The kit provides you with what you need to make a great All-Terrain robot. There are a lot of options and additions you can select, the links of all the items are included below. Follow the links for details of each item and option.
The base is 10" x 8.5". The sides of the aluminum base are 1.75" high (bottom edge to top surface). When used with the 4" Shaft and wheel sets it has a ground clearance of about 1 1/4". The width with the wheels is about 14.5" and the length is about 12.5". If the top platform is used the overall height works out to be about 5.75".

The platform is a rugged 1/8" thick aluminum chassis that accepts our IG32 and IG32P gear motors. The sides are gusseted. The aluminum is all laser cut for an exact fit-up and then hand welded and polished. The kit also includes 16 machine screws for mounting our IG32 and IG32P gear motors.

| Motors and Motor Mounts |
Two different motor sizes are available for this kit. Both motors work well. The larger motors will deliver more power for climbing, etc, but will draw more current from the batteries. You will need four motors (one per wheel).
| No Motor housings are necessary with this kit, the platform has mounting holes already in it to hold the four motors. |

| Wheels and Drive Shafts |
We only sell one kind of wheel for the mini ATR. The wheel is mounted to custom shafts/couplings that mount to the motors directly. The kit includes our 4" tire set and adds a custom hex shaft that is drilled to 6mm on one end and has a 1/4-20 set screw, the other end is taped to a 1/4-20 thread to accept the included machine screw. The set screw clamps onto the 6mm motor shaft. This set includes 2 of everything since the tires are a matched set with directional tread. You will need two sets for the mini ATR.

The final item you need to make you kit complete is a hardware package.
It includes nuts, bolts washers, nylon spacers (for isolating your electronics and controller boards), cable ties, and cable hold downs.
